I went to check out Broadway Market in East London. Keep reading to see what I thought and more importantly what I ate 😀

Broadway Market is a street market offering the best products and produce from East London. The market offers a wide range of independent shops, restaurants, cafes and stalls offering fresh produce, street food, clothing, arts and crafts.

Getting there: Broadway Market is located in Hackney in East London. The market is located between London Fields and Regents Canal, offering some lovely views and walks close to where the market is located. The nearest station is London Fields, Cambridge Heath and Hackney Central Overground and Bethnal Green Underground Station. The market only runs on Saturday between 7.30am to 7pm so parking is easily available around the market for those who are wanting to drive there. The market is also close to many popular London Bus routes including the 26, 48, 55 and 394 routes. We decided to drive there, park near by and then walk to the market.

Food: There are a few options for halal food in market, but the one that called me was ‘Katsu Wraps’. They make fresh and healthy Asian inspired food. I myself had a Katsu Chicken wrap. It cost £6 and was a delicious and filling meal. The staff were really friendly and we ended up also buying one to take home for my brother. ‘Katsu Wraps’ can also be found on Petticoat Lane Market.

I also visited the Falafel stand next door and got myself a delicious falafel and halloumi bowl. Again it cost £6 and was a great portion and delicious option for those who are looking for a vegan option.

Broadway Market is also the home of the incredibly talented Meringue Girls and the delicious Crosstown Doughnuts. We couldn’t decide which one to have – so we had to go for both 😛

Check out the pictures below to see some of the other kinds of stalls and products available from food to flowers to furniture.

Final Thoughts: I would definitely recommend checking out Broadway Market. It is a varied and vibrant market in the heart of East London. It is worth mentioning that some items can be quite pricey and that it can get very busy later, especially later on in the day. Overall it is a lovely way to spend a Saturday morning or afternoon, with some great halal food options.  To find out more information visit the website:
