Covered: Sweet Jeelees – London

During the month May we were all focusing on the blessed month of Ramadan and so I didn’t write any blog posts.  I pray you all had a beneficial Ramadan Inshallah. I am very excited to be back with a blog post about a new and special bakery that has recently opened in East London.

Sweet Jeelees is a self taught baker who I have been following for many years on Instagram. She has over 60,000 followers and specialises in stunning wedding cakes. She recently opened her own bakery Mashallah and I went to check it out!

Getting There: The bakery is located on Hoe Street in Walthamstow in East London. It is a ten minute walk from Walthamstow Central Station (Victoria Line and London Overground). A number of bus routes pass the bakery including the 357 and 97. If you are driving there are 30 minute parking bays near the bakery on weekdays. On sunday parking is usually free near by.

Design and Vibe: The bakery is small but super cute and cosy Mashallah! All the baking is done on site so when you enter the shop you are welcomed with the smell of delicious, fresh baking. The bakery is a family run bakery which really adds to the cosy feeling.

The bakes are baked fresh daily and each day they have different flavours. If you want to see what flavours they have each day you can check out their Instagram page @sweet_jeelees They also continue to take orders for their specialised wedding cakes.

Final Thoughts: This was a short but sweet blog post. After following Sweet Jeelees journey on Instagram for many years I had to share the exciting opening of her bakery with you all. I think it is very important to support Muslim sisters in business. I pray Allah blesses her bakery and family. If you are in the area definitely stop by the bakery to enjoy some delicious, freshly baked treats.
